After the holidays

As everyone is returning back to the day to day norm we hope that everyone had a very good holiday season.

Some updates from the farm....

On January 9th we had a very strong storm come through our area. This storm did cause tornadoes and luckily the family and home were spared but the plastic blew off our tunnel house. This was our over wintering area and gave us the ability to get a jump start on the next growing season. A big big big set back. We will rebuild eventually.

Our aquaponics are still in tact and the tilapia have reached around 8-9 inches in length and around 12-16 ounces. As Tony says, "they are ceviche ready". The leaf lettuce that is growing from them are very tasty and almost ready to harvest. The next crop in will be kale. I'm still working on building the deep water containers for the pole barn and aquaponics area.
